We are located in the heart of Central Kansas just 15 miles west of Great Bend or 12 miles north of Larned and minutes away from some of the best waterfowl hunting in Kansas
The lodge is a fully furnished two story house that sleeps 10 people, with linens provided. It has 2 full bathrooms, a fully furnished kitchen, large dining and living room, satellite TV, central heat and air, bird cleaning station, outside grill, fire pit and lots of privacy.
Yes. GREAT BEND is 15 miles east of the lodge. Variety of restaurants range from sports bars, fast food, pizza, Mexican and Chinese.
RUSH CENTER is located 15 miles west of the lodge on HWY 96 and is home to Greg's Pub, the home of the one pound burger.
We do provide lunch for our full day guided hunts.
Our controlled bird hunts start at 8:00 a.m. and lasts until 5:00 p.m. or until limit is reached. We take an hour to hour and a half break for lunch.
A half day hunt starts at 8:00a.m. and lasts until 12:00 p.m.
Deer hunting starts and ends at your request. We will take you to your stand and pick you up. We provide deer stands that are already set up, all you have to do is choose the one you want to sit in.
The layout of the land consists of native grass waterways, CRP grass, corn, milo, wheat stubble along with tree belts, feed strips, and spring fed creeks.
If you are hunting controlled shooting area only, and do not have a Ks hunting license, we will provide you with a Controlled Hunting License for $30.00.
If you are 65 or older and a Kansas resident, you do not need a license.
If you are hunting native birds you will need a Kansas Hunting license.
Deer hunters will need to apply for a draw for a Kansas deer tag and also have a Kansas hunting license.
Yes, although we will provide trained hunting dogs on guided hunts.
Unfortunately a wounded deer is a dead deer. Very seldom do we lose a wounded deer, however, if that occurs, the odds of that deer living are very slim. Therefore, if blood is drawn, the deer is considered dead, regardless of a successful recovery. Our guides monitor number of arrows taken into the stand and when picked up.
